As Foss new Senior Test Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing new test systems for the production of our analytical instruments. These test systems are designed to evaluate the physical products, identify process flaws, make necessary adjustments, andensure optimal performance – all of which are essential to delivering our solutions on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You won't be working alone; you'll be part of a team of eight skilled, friendly, and supportive TestSystems Engineers who collaborate on product development projects in small senior-junior teams.
In cross-functional development teams, you will design, build, and code solutions for production tests and implement them on the production line, whether in-house or at a supplier's facility. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager responsible for Test & Verification, you will plan project deliverables and ensure the development of effective production test solutions that add value to the production process and maintain the high quality of our products.
Primary task
• Develop and program test equipment for the assembly production of analytical instruments.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to understand product specifications and requirements, ensuring teste equipment aligns with these standards.
• Implement and maintain automated test systems for production lines, including software and hardware integration.
• Maintain the test system, the documentation of test systems, procedures, and results, ensuring traceability and compliance.
Qualifications
The job combines elements of systemsengineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, and some mechanical engineering.
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic or SoftwareEngineering
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits,mechanical systems, and software integration in testing environments.
•Experience in Hardware test development from similar business, preferably inthe high mix low volume segment and with the complexity of many technologies inuse.
•Skilled LabVIEWand TestStand user
• Since FOSS is a global organization, it is a prerequisite that you are fluent in English
• Danish B1 is needed as we make test instructions in Danish, to ease the implementation of tests and be able to support operators in production
Personal skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable at mentoring junior engineers
